Toll-free numbers have historically been the go-to channel for business messaging, with relatively few steps required before you could find a number and start sending messages.
Today, due to increased efforts by carriers to reduce spam, registration is required on toll-free numbers before US carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, et al.) will deliver your traffic to their customers. Unfortunately, the registration process for toll-free numbers currently has a backlog of several weeks, during which little to none of your traffic may be delivered.
As a result, we strongly recommend all new and existing customers use local numbers whenever possible. The registration process for local numbers, known as 10DLC, can be completed for most new customers within a few business days.
If you have a strong business case for keeping your toll-free number, your first step is to complete the toll-free registration form here. Once that is done our support team will submit your request to our upstream partners for review. As this process will likely take several weeks, please contact our team at 844-SENDHUB to request a local number to use in the interim. Keep in mind, your new local number will also need to be registered.
